FREEDOM HILLS COMMUNITY CENTER, INC.
NEWSLETTER
JULY 2007
Freedom Hills Community Center, Inc. (FHCC) would like to take this
opportunity to thank John Simmons, First United Methodist Church in Haleyville,
for speaking on Spirituality to one of our Monday night classes during
July.
Roger continues to improve from his surgery, and is now back teaching
Monday and Thursday night classes/groups. Office hours are still limited until he sees his cardiologist on the 31st of this month, but is doing “one-on-one” counseling when needed.
Heath and Leslie with some
assistance from Chuck have kept classes and groups going on while Roger was in the hospital, and during
the time he was unable to be at the Center. Both have done an outstanding job of providing structure and direction
for all the clients.
FHCC continues to have the opportunity to help those with an
addiction. We have three new clients in
the outpatient program this month and are in the process of sending one client
to residential long term care. Our
program and the people involved continue to save and preserve lives as Freedom Hlls
stands ready 24/7 to provide help to those in the grip of addiction. We continue to be grateful to all those supporting
this program, without you, it would be impossible.
The Double Springs Church
of Christ has an ongoing Bible based 12 Step program they are currently
teaching at the Winston County jail. Any reaching out to those with drug and alcohol afflictions are to be
commended.
